The beginning of her story.....

The tradition of “The Green Word” has been the reality of the Viera for many generations. From Mother to daughter, with the sons after, who often walk away with their fellow men into the forest beyond the Rava Villages within the Golmore Jungles. To either die or learn to become one of the wood wardens who may have a chance to return, only to continue the generations, and nothing more.
One of those daughters, those children, is a female Rava that goes by the name of Shai. A name given to her at the day of her birth and one she holds onto even now, not abandoning it for the sake of leaving behind her home.
In the village, amongst the children of her age, Shai had only managed to have one true friend. Another viera that she was always with, who was her dearest friend. From their lessons, chores, games, and hobbies, they always did everything together. Even talking about the future together, working alongside each other to take care of the forest and their village. This became memories of good times for the female viera.
Though all good things must come to an end.
It is commonly known that when the viera reach their adolescent years, who is male and who is female is revealed. This was what shook all of Shai’s foundations as her closest friend was found to be a male. To be made to leave the village and be taught to survive and live alone. Away from her and their shared dreams.
She cried and tried to beg for them not to take him, but traditions were traditions and he promised her that he would survive and they would see each other again. When he was a wood warden.
With the demand that he keep his word, and his agreement, she watched him leave. Not seeing him for many years after.
Years passed, and she did all the lessons, learned all the skills they had promised to learn together. Keeping him in mind, knowing that he was training to be a wood warden at the same time. So they could see each other again, even if it was for the sake of tradition.
Soon, she was deemed an adult, and thus she knew that her friend would return. Waiting for that time, as the men returned to continue their ways, her friend was not among them. Instead, the Wood Warden who took him returned, and she asked him what happened, just to be told to forget about him and move on.
Forget… Forget about her closest friend. The one she had promised to see again all these years. The reason she stayed and trained like she did. And this male told her to forget.
Anger in her heart burned into a determination to find her friend. She knew that many were starting to leave to the world outside of Golmore, and she hoped that he was one of them. He may not have kept his word, but she would keep hers. Even if leaving her village and never returning was the result.
Word and disagreement was her send off, and she left. Past the borders of what is, or perhaps now was, her home. A home she left behind for the friend she holds most dear.
She knew he could be dead, but she hoped that he was alive. Outside the forest and safe from the traditions that split them apart to even begin with.

Upon Leaving Her Place of Birth...

She looked for years, taking the skill of the bow with her, seeing many of her kind about, but none as her friend and none that knew of her friend. If he changed his name, looks, or even was alive, she did not know, but it caused her to wander to find him. Getting swept away in the ways of the new world with that one goal in mind.
Though, on of the nights after some years, she heard a crier. Someone mentioning an Adventurers guild known as “Onyx Cross”. She thought a moment. No home, no connections. Sleeping where she could, be camp or an inn. She had no leads. Perhaps joining the guild would change that around.
For a time, she stayed with Onyx Cross, through jobs and adventures as they were hured to do. Even happenings upon a orphan Coeurl at the time. One that she could not bring herself to kill, after the lost of it's mother. Taking the animal to raise and train, making the choice to become a Beast Master.Staying at her guild did not last forever though, as her close friends, and lover, left. Moving to follow them to a knew guild known as "Fire Lodge."

Currently....

After traveling, trying to find leads on her lost friend, the Rava is tired. Deciding to return back to the Guild for rest, catching up, and help out once more.
